Customer-Facing Projects

User App

This project focused on transforming their web delivery dashboard into an easy-to-use mobile app.

Some of the challenges involved in this project included creating a user flow chart, creating a concise sign-up process, and scheduling an order based on business model limitations. The biggest challenge however was time and lack of collaboration.

This was the first user app the company was building. There was a giant push to get the app through development and into app stores. I was the primary designer of the app, and there was very little time for low/medium fidelity designs. However, the app made it onto the market and was in the hands of real users.

Web Delivery Dashboard

The main focus of this project was to revamp the online user dashboard. Customers should be able to browse a large variety of delivery options and see what orders they have already placed.

Some of the major challenges on the website were creating a simple and compelling sign-up flow, filtering products, and coming up with an intuitive delivery calendar for scheduling food deliveries during the week. Originally, before the user could enter the dashboard they were required to sign up for the subscription service. However, based on the business model, the number of delivery options varied based on geographical location, therefore many users want to know what food options were available to them before signing up.

My design allowed the user to enter their delivery address and explore the platform before signing up. When they first enter the dashboard they are given a virtual tour. Before placing an order the user is asked to sign-up for a subscription/make an account.

Internal Projects

Operations Dashboard

I also worked on some designs for behind-the-curtains operations. The operations department was hoping to create an administrative backend where they could manage things like driver shift confirmations, assign routes to drivers, and manage payroll and staff.

From a development standpoint, this would simply be an administrative-friendly database interface. The challenge behind this design was fitting as much information as possible into one screen that was easy for users to sort through information.

The main thing I kept in mind while designing these pages was the prioritization of information. This was handled through consistent communication with administrators. The operations team was determined to develop an MVP before moving towards more complex functionality.

Driver App

During my time at Club Feast, I also helped to flush out some re-designs for the driver app. The driver app was a delivery schedule optimizer for drivers. Drivers would be able to schedule shifts, confirm shifts, set scheduling preferences, manage payroll, and access driving routes while on shift.

One challenge of creating these designs was to consider how this app would scale as the company continued to grow, and as drivers had access to more cities.

Several flows and iterations were made with the driver-operations team. A medium-high fidelity design of the app was created before I parted with the company.
